  1. Thanks for sharing this! Sometimes the glitter of the toys can distract us from discussing why we’re using them, how we’re using them and maybe even– in certain cases– should we be using them at all?

    • Glad you enjoyed. I think the iPad partially fits into the category of “glitter.” We were all excited by the new tool, but needed to work hard to find legitimate ways for it to serve as a way for the girls to develop skills and communicate what they learned with others. At Sacred Heart we’re viewing technology through a similar lens – using technology is not an end, but another way for the girls to develop essential skills for success – analysis, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, etc.
