The ABC Radio National Program “Future Tense” had an interesting story on “21st
Century Education”. It interviewed a number of people in the education technology space on the use of technology in the classroom and what its role should be. You can listen to the podcast and read the transcript here:
What was most interesting was the very cautious approach of both the interviewer and the people being interviewed to technology in the classroom. There was no ribald enthusiasm for the possibilities of technology. Whilst enthusiasm does not necessarily translate to practical implementation, it’s important for these ed tech ambassadors to inspire the more reluctant educators and it starts with emotion.
